Daniel Gundert
CEO

With Gyminny Kids since 2003

Daniel Gundert, married with five children, is the Owner and CEO of Gyminny Kids Gymnastics. A juggernaut children’s activity center with four locations and over six thousand weekly students has been serving the community since 1987. Daniel is a Nationally rated gymnastics judge and the founder of D&M Leotards, a children’s activewear company. Daniel’s focus is providing fun and fitness for all ages while building character through sport. Daniel acquired his real estate license to broker and acquire the properties Gyminny Kids operates on and help his friends, clients, and family achieve their real estate goals. Daniel donates half of his real estate commission to child-related non-profits. Daniel met his wife, Melanie, almost thirty years ago while they did gymnastics together as children at the same club in San Diego. All five of their super-charged children are competitive gymnasts, which has become a family affair. Start with gymnastics; go anywhere!

Krishele Trueblood

Meet Ms. Krishele. Krishele has a degree in fashion and product development from the Fashion Institute. She was a competitive gymnastics for eight years and competed up to a high level. Krishele is the Manager at Gyminny Kids and oversees every program we offer. That’s a lot of responsibility! Krishele loves food, and her Grandma “Bevmo.” Krishele is a wife and mother of two cuties. “When I am not at the gym, I am eating or snuggling my baby boy, Bryson. “I love seeing a child’s face light up when they get a new skill. I also get to do what I love every day.”



Layrssa Johnson
Program Director

Laryssa has twelve years of cheer and six years of gymnastics experience. She is currently studying to be a nurse, which goes along with her desire to do great things for kids both in the gym and hospital. “This job gives me real-life experience working with children, and I savor every moment. There’s something electric about working in a facility that is always buzzing with activity. Gyminny Kids is POPPIN” Laryssa is a top-rated coach and mainstay at the front desk. She’s organized, efficient and friendly. What else could you ask for? If you give Laryssa twenty tasks, she’ll do twenty-one, and she’ll do it with a smile and a pep in her step. “Bring it on; I can’t wait to start my next shift!”

Kirstin Dishman

Kirstin is a top-notch Front Desk Associates experienced with special needs children, caregiving, and management. Kirstin has B.S. in Health Science and Exercise Science and is working towards her doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Kirstin is a superhero wife and mother of four beautiful children. When she was a child, Kirstin participated in recreational gymnastics and wanted to return to a place that does great things for kids. Her hobbies include cooking, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with family. Kirstin’s favorite foods are sushi, ramen, and tacos, but she loves a good salad. I love playing sports and am very competitive, but I also love watching sports on TV. “Come on in; I can’t wait to meet you in class!”

Abbey Ager

Meet Coach Abbey, a vibrant coach with a love for cheeseburgers and a passion for diverse hobbies including landscape painting, beach volleyball, roller-skating, climbing, and dance. Her interaction with kids is marked by creativity and laughter, as she thrives on their spontaneity. Abbey's athletic journey is impressive, playing volleyball for 17 years, captaining her collegiate volleyball team, and coaching both season team as well as specialty camps. Her unique skills extend to acro yoga and self-taught acrobatics. With her diverse talents and lively energy, Abbey is a standout mentor and coach who brings a fun-loving spirit to coaching young athletes. Come swing by and say hi to coach Abbey, you’ll love her!


Brittany Johnson

Brittany studied Kinesiology and worked in the gym industry for four years before joining the Gyminny Crew. She is a training bodybuilder and will begin competitions shortly. Brittany also has an artistic side. She creates acrylic artwork and designs logos for companies big and small. Brittany is a sports fanatic. She dances, plays cheer, swim, football, softball, and volleyball. Woah! In case you were wondering, she used to own a Macaw named Paco.

Cristina Gonzales

Cristina grew up in a family of gymnasts and has been surrounded by the sport her whole life. It’s always been a part of her, a part that she shares and spreads to her students with love and care. When she’s not coaching, you might find her exploring her passions of photography or crochet. She loves anything noodle or ramen related and has been greatly influenced by her caring circle of friends. She’s a warm, welcoming coach who understands that gymnastics sets you up for success in almost all aspects of life - from coordination to thinking fast - and she’s here to help teach it all!


Dave Moser
Facilities & Maintenance Director | coach

Dave Moser has worked at Gyminny Kids since 1988! An experienced coach and a wonderful mentor to many students who have become coaches, including Miss Lauren. Dave, otherwise known as Mr. Moose, brings a silliness that the littles enjoy as much as his High School students. Dave is the Head Coach at Poway High School and won California State coach of the year. While Dave can still tumble and flip around the gym, his real talents come in the form of dance and classical ballet. We’re not done yet; Mr. Moose is a computer expert and a tech nerd that comes in handy as he manages the gym’s networks and keeps our electronics online. A man of many hats, Dave has taught thousands of children over the last thirty years. He is a gymnastics legend who has brought joy to the community for the last three decades, and we hope to have him for another thirty.

Gary Johnson
Facilities & Maintenance | Safety Director | coach | Bungee bouncer Founder

With Gyminny Kids since 1993

Gary is a twenty-seven-year coach of North County Gymnastics and the Gyminny Kids. Gary has a background in Engineering and was a previous Machinist. During that time, Gary perfected the bungee bouncer system that has brought joy to thousands of children. Gary is a member of the illustrious Seven Oaks community located in Rancho Bernardo. During his free time, he eats pizza, participates in water aerobics, works on home improvements and watches Say Yes to the Dress. “Even though I have been coaching over thirty years, every day working with kids feels like my first day on the job. I just love this sport and all it has to offer.”


KASEY Antale
Coach

Kasey grew up doing gymnastics and Cheer. “It is such a passion to be able to coach & lead others.”  Kasey is active in her church and enjoys taking on leadership positions. Kasey grew up in New Jersey and has two older sisters. In her free time, she loves Pilates, taking a good book to the beach, cooking, or going to dinner with the girls. She is a huge foodie, saying, “Food is one of my love languages.” Kasey is over the moon to be a part of the team at Gyminny!

Katie Molidor

Katie is a mom of four and has the energy to prove it. She is a ball of energy and positivity that hits you like a wave when you enter the building. As a front desk associate and teacher, Katie embodies Gyminny Kids' core values. She has a degree in philosophy and is a lifelong learner. She has experience working in a classroom, is yoga certified, group fitness, and has many administrative skills, making her a fantastic coach and front desk associate! In her free time, Katie volunteers for causes she believes in and spends time with her family.

Macie Sneeden
Coach

Meet Coach Macie, a dedicated coach with a love for pizza and a passion for guiding kids. With a background in gymnastics, cheerleading, and dance, she brings a wealth of experience to her coaching. Macie's commitment to children extends beyond coaching, as she volunteers at a camp for kids and teens with Type 1 Diabetes every summer. Recently graduated with a degree in human development, Macie's holistic approach to coaching nurtures young minds physically, mentally, and socially. Her dedication to growth and well-rounded development makes her an invaluable asset to any team.

Matthew Villa
Digital Media Director

Coach Matt has an associate’s in theology, biology, and ministry leadership. He also has a background in Fire Technology with a EMT certification under his belt. In addition, Matt is an accomplished collegiate water polo goalie and soccer star while lettered in six high school sports. He uses his athletic background to teach gymnastics, the foundation of all sports. Matt spends most of his time with his wife, two daughters, and golden retriever, Kingston. Matt has even been known to play Madden with professional baseball and football players. With what free time is left, Coach Matt is building a presence on YouTube focused on having fun in life and focusing on next years fantasy football season. Matt is a constant professional and a fantastic example of right action living for his students.

Quin Shannon
Head Trainer

Quin Shannon has been coaching gymnastics full-time since 1984. He has owned and operated a preschool and PE gymnastics program, directed large recreational programs, coached Xcel, Junior Olympic, and Elite gymnastics, and was an NCAA Division 1 coach. He is a national instructor for USA Gymnastics and the National Gymnastics Association. He currently spends his time coaching the coaches, showing them how to teach great gymnastics in a fun way. Quin is a master gymnastics clinician and is world-renowned for his effective training methods. In addition to traveling the world holding clinics, he is the Head Trainer at North County Gymnastics & the Gyminny Kids. His hobbies include trying to surf, trying to play guitar, and trying to be a better person.

Ruben Alvarado
Front office

Ruben is a catch! He is customer-focused with experience in the corporate world. He was recruited to Gyminny Kids because of his strong character and administrative and customer service skills. We are over the moon to host Ruben here at Gyminny Kids and look forward to many more years with him on staff. He brings a friendly "can do" attitude to work, which makes work seem like play!

Meet Sabinna, a dynamic team member with a love for sushi and a passion for working with kids. From gymnastics to cheerleading and dancing, she brings five years of athletic experience, creating a well-rounded approach to coaching. Sabinna believes in instilling curiosity and fostering growth in young minds, drawing from personal experiences to help them dream big. Her vibrant energy extends to hobbies like painting and line dancing, making her a versatile and engaging mentor for your child. With eight siblings, Sabinna brings a familial touch to her work, creating an environment where your child can thrive and flourish.


Scott Zimmerman

With Gyminny Kids since1995

Scott has a BA in Psychobiology. He has twenty-plus years of coaching experience and four years of Acro Power Tumbling.  “I enjoy coaching kids in an atmosphere that develops children through positive reinforcement. Most of all, I love Gyminny because of the people I work with. We really do have an all-star cast!” Scott’s passion project is coaching the Rancho Bernardo High School gymnastics team as a way to give back to the community. In Scott’s free time, he enjoys music, hiking, snowboarding, reading, and spending time with his wife and puppy. Scott is a famed local DJ and DJs events all over town. Scott wears many hats at Gyminny Kids, so you may catch him on the fly at the front desk, coaching, or teaching Zoom classes. Scott is a whirlwind of energy and creativity!
