North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids Welcome 2012 Olympic Judge Steve Butcher
Rancho Bernardo, San Diego - May 16th, 2012 - Steve Butcher first made gymnastics headlines when he was one of two judges selected from the United States to judge the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. At this summer's London Games, he has reached further greatness by being selected head apparatus judge for the Men's Olympic Gymnastics events. But before he heads across the Atlantic, Butcher heads to Rancho Bernardo's North County Gymnastics and The Gyminny Kids.
Prior to becoming one of the foremost experts on Men's Gymnastics, Steve Butcher spent a decade coaching in San Diego. Butcher was the gymnastics program director at the Mission Valley/Toby Wells YMCA where he produced many USA Junior National Team members, international elite competitors and NCAA gymnasts. Butcher also spent time coaching at North County Gymnastics and The Gyminny Kids where he left with a profound respect for the facility's Pre School Aged Program. Butcher will now bring the Pre School Aged Program Director from his own group of gymnastics centers, Premier Athletics in Knoxville Tenessee, to learn and gain inspiration from the Gyminny Kid program.
Steve Butcher and his program director will arrive at North County Gymnastics on Thursday, May 17th where he will spend three full days. His stay will culminate with a teaching clinic held by Steve for the employees of North County Gymnastics and The Gyminny Kids on Saturday afternoon. The clinic will cover the latest information in Men's and Women's Gymnastics along with tools for how to inspire children to succeed in the sport.

Rancho Bernardo, San Diego - October 10th, 2011 - On September 28th, 2011, the United States Senate proclaimed the week of October 16th National Character Counts Week.
