North County Gymnastics proudly represented Region 1 and San Diego at the 2026 USA Gymnastics Men's Development Program National Championships in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, held May 7–10, 2026.
The Men's DP National Championships are the highest level of competition in the USA Gymnastics Development Program, featuring many of the top Level 10 athletes in the country. Athletes must first qualify through State and Regional Championships to earn a spot at nationals, with only the top competitors advancing to event finals.

Axel Dobson Earns Top 5 National Finish on Rings
Competing in the highly competitive 17-year-old Level 10 division, Axel Dobson represented NCG 4S Ranch with an impressive showing throughout the weekend.
Axel qualified for the event finals on rings after an outstanding preliminary performance and ultimately finished:
5th Place in the Nation on Rings Finals, 12.400
Additional results included:
• 2nd Place on Rings during preliminary competition, 12.250
• 4th Place Vault during preliminaries, 13.300
• 5th Place Floor during preliminaries, 12.300
Making event finals at Men's DP Nationals means an athlete is among the very best in the country on that event. The finals session features only the top qualifiers nationwide, making Axel's accomplishment especially significant.
Audio Dobson Finishes Among the Nation's Best
Audio Dobson also delivered a strong performance in the 19-year-old Level 10 division against some of the top senior athletes in the country.
