We are now accepting registrations for our first-ever Xcel Bronze & Silver Competitive Team. Ages 5+. Limited spots available. Reply today!
We are excited to announce the launch of the very first competitive gymnastics program at North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids La Jolla UTC location!
Beginning July 14, 2026, we will offer Xcel Bronze and Xcel Silver team opportunities for athletes ready to take the next step in their gymnastics journey.
Our new program will be led by Coach Makenna Bailey, an experienced and passionate coach dedicated to helping athletes build confidence, strength, skills, and a lifelong love of gymnastics.
Makenna Bailey has been involved in gymnastics since the age of three and grew up competing through Level 8 as a student of Daniel Gundert at North County Gymnastics 4S Ranch. She has been a part of the North County Gymnastics family and has experience coaching preschool, recreational, and competitive gymnastics athletes of all ages and skill levels. Makenna is passionate about helping young athletes build confidence, strengthen fundamentals, and cultivate a lifelong love for the sport. She recently graduated from Lindenwood University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. In addition to her gymnastics background, Makenna competed in pole vault during high school and played Division I rugby throughout college. Outside the gym, she enjoys spending time at the beach, exploring new coffee shops, staying active, and recently took up kickboxing. Makenna is excited to help launch and lead the Xcel program at our La Jolla UTC location and looks forward to helping athletes reach their goals while having fun along the way.
Practice Schedule: Tue – Fri 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Athletes will attend at least two of the four available practice days each week, giving families flexibility while still receiving the structure and coaching needed to thrive in a competitive environment.

Open Gym
Supervised free-play time for children to explore the gym, improve motor skills, and burn energy in a safe environment.
Price: $25 per child
$5 off for each additional family member
Ages 3+ may be dropped off
Children under 3 require a parent on the gym floor
Kids Night Out / Kids Day Out Clinic
A structured three-hour block where kids enjoy games, gymnastics, and group activities while parents enjoy time away.
Price: $50 per child
$5 off for each additional child
Includes activities and supervision (KNO every Friday & Saturday, excluding some holidays)
Pizza included
Camps
Seasonal camps include gymnastics instruction, obstacle courses, crafts, games, and active play for all levels.
Punch cards available: Pay for nine sessions, get the 10th free

We are located directly next to Macy’s. Parking is free for the first hour.
Birthday Parties
Birthday Parties are private celebrations led by our trained coaches, including obstacle courses, gymnastics basics, organized play, and optional bungee fun. You bring the birthday child, we do the rest! We offer three party types:
Theme Party
Interactive themed activities plus bungees included (for up to 20 total guests).
1–12 kids: $890

Signature Party
Classic Gyminny Kids party experience. Bungees can be added for $25 (up to 20 guests).
