Daniel Gundert

Daniel Gundert, married with six children, is the Owner and CEO of Gyminny Kids Gymnastics. A juggernaut children’s activity center with several locations and over six thousand weekly students has been serving the community since 1987. Daniel is a Nationally rated gymnastics judge and the founder of D&M Leotards, a children’s activewear company. Daniel’s focus is providing fun and fitness for all ages while building character through sport. Daniel acquired his real estate license to broker and acquire the properties Gyminny Kids operates on and help his friends, clients, and family achieve their real estate goals. Daniel donates half of his real estate commission to child-related non-profits. Daniel met his wife, Melanie, almost thirty years ago while they did gymnastics together as children at the same club in San Diego. All five of their super-charged children are competitive gymnasts, which has become a family affair. Start with gymnastics; go anywhere!

Laryssa has twelve years of cheer and six years of gymnastics experience. She is currently studying to be a nurse, which goes along with her desire to do great things for kids both in the gym and hospital. “This job gives me real-life experience working with children, and I savor every moment. There’s something electric about working in a facility that is always buzzing with activity. Gyminny Kids is POPPIN” Laryssa is a top-rated coach and mainstay at the front desk. She’s organized, efficient and friendly. What else could you ask for? If you give Laryssa twenty tasks, she’ll do twenty-one, and she’ll do it with a smile and a pep in her step. “Bring it on; I can’t wait to start my next shift!”

Darryl Davis brings more than four decades of gymnastics coaching experience, leadership, and mentorship to North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids TRC Solana Beach. As the founder of TRC Gymnastics, Darryl built one of the most recognized and respected gymnastics programs in San Diego, creating a legacy that has impacted generations of athletes and families throughout the community. Known for his calm presence, technical knowledge, and ability to connect with athletes of all ages, Darryl has dedicated his life to helping children build confidence, discipline, resilience, and a love for the sport of gymnastics. His coaching philosophy has always focused not only on athletic development, but also on helping young people grow into confident and well-rounded individuals. Over the course of his career, Darryl has coached recreational gymnasts, competitive athletes, national qualifiers, college bound gymnasts, earning the respect of families and coaches across the gymnastics community. His decades of experience and long-standing commitment to youth development continue to make a lasting impact. Following the merger of TRC Gymnastics with North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids in 2026, Darryl chose to continue with the merged brand as a coach, clinician, and mentor. His continued involvement helps preserve the strong traditions and culture he built over the last 40 years, while also supporting the next generation of athletes, coaches, and families at Gyminny Kids TRC Solana Beach.
Donna Cole
Office Lead & Coach

Donna Cole has been part of the gymnastics community for decades and has spent the last 30 years at TRC Gymnastics helping generations of families feel welcomed, supported, and connected. Before joining TRC, Donna spent 10 years at the Ecke YMCA, where she ran the gymnastics program and developed a deep passion for working with children and families. Donna attended Mira Costa College and studied physical education after returning to school while balancing married life and family responsibilities. Her lifelong passion has always centered around helping children learn, grow, build confidence, and experience success both inside and outside the gym. At North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids TRC Solana Beach, Donna loves working in the office, interacting with families, coaching a few classes, and helping parents find the best classes and programs for their children. Her warm personality, experience, and genuine care for others have made her a familiar and trusted face for countless families over the years. Born in Hawaii into a military family, Donna moved to the mainland when she was two years old after her father was transferred. Outside of the gym, she enjoys cooking, hiking, going to the beach, reading spiritual and inspirational books, attending church, and spending time outdoors. She especially loves escaping to the mountains to reset and recharge. Donna also has a unique background as a former professional hula dancer, bringing creativity, energy, and positivity into everything she does. Her favorite colors are purple and pink, and while she jokes that her favorite TV show is Leave It to Beaver, she much prefers spending her free time reading a good book.
Sergio Peralta

Sergio brings more than 40 years of coaching experience to Gyminny Kids, with a lifelong passion for developing athletes and building strong fundamentals. Born and raised in the countryside of Argentina, Sergio left home at an early age to pursue a career in coaching, eventually becoming a highly experienced gymnastics coach. In addition to gymnastics, Sergio spent over 15 years coaching inline hockey and served as an international referee, giving him a well-rounded background in both athlete development and competition. Sergio later moved to the United States to be closer to his grandchildren, who are a big part of his life. Outside of the gym, he enjoys woodworking, biking, and swimming in the ocean. At home, he is known for cooking for his family and, in his words, perfecting the art of ironing. Sergio’s decades of experience, steady presence, and love for coaching make him a valued part of the Gyminny Kids TRC team.
Ann Fouquette
Office Administrator
With Gyminny Kids since 2026
Ann brings a strong background in organization, care, and people-first service to the Gyminny Kids TRC team. After 14 years in church administration, she transitioned into the TRC Gymnastics office and now continues supporting families as part of North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids. She is a proud mom of two grown children, with one local in North Park and the other living abroad in Germany. Ann enjoys staying active through hiking, walking, pickleball, and the occasional game of ping pong or pool. Earlier in life, she competed in Division III volleyball and softball at Menlo College. Ann believes exercise should be enjoyable and approachable, and she brings that mindset into her work every day. Families appreciate her positive attitude, steady presence, and genuine love for helping others. Around the gym, she is often the friendly face making sure everything runs smoothly and that every child feels welcomed.
Noah Mennemeier
Team Coach

Noah Mennemeier brings a strong background in both competitive gymnastics and coaching to North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids. He trained as a competitive gymnast for over 10 years and has spent more than a decade coaching athletes at multiple levels, including eight years at TRC Gymnastics. Throughout his coaching career, Noah has worked with Xcel, DP compulsory, and optional team athletes. He has a particular focus on vault and uneven bars, where he helps athletes build proper technique, confidence, and consistency through structured progressions. Noah is passionate about building a positive and healthy gym culture. He believes athletes grow the most when they feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to work through adversity. His coaching style emphasizes accountability, resilience, and steady improvement over time. Outside of the gym, Noah stays active through weight training and surfing. He has a strong interest in physical therapy and performance, which influences how he approaches athlete development and long-term health. When he’s not coaching, he enjoys spending time with friends and exploring new coffee and food spots around San Diego.
Quin Shannon
Head Trainer
With Gyminny Kids since 2023
Quin Shannon has been coaching gymnastics full-time since 1984. He has owned and operated a preschool and PE gymnastics program, directed large recreational programs, coached Xcel, Junior Olympic, and Elite gymnastics, and was an NCAA Division 1 coach. He is a national instructor for USA Gymnastics and the National Gymnastics Association. He currently spends his time coaching the coaches, showing them how to teach great gymnastics in a fun way. Quin is a master gymnastics clinician and is world-renowned for his effective training methods. In addition to traveling the world holding clinics, he is the Head Trainer at North County Gymnastics & the Gyminny Kids. His hobbies include trying to surf, trying to play guitar, and trying to be a better person.
Stacy Williams

Stacy Williams is a dedicated gymnastics coach with over 23 years of experience working with athletes of all ages. A former competitive gymnast who trained through Level 7, Stacy turned her lifelong passion for the sport into a rewarding career, with a special love for coaching Xcel team athletes. Originally born in California and raised primarily in Illinois, she returned to California at 26, where she continues to inspire young gymnasts to grow in both skill and confidence. Outside of the gym, Stacy enjoys international travel, hand balancing, aerial silks, and watercolor painting. A fun fact about her: she’s explored the Great Wall of China, witnessed the Northern Lights in Alaska, and traveled across Europe, with plans for more adventures in France, Norway and Japan on the horizon.
Gary Johnson

With Gyminny Kids since 1993
Gary is a twenty-seven-year coach of North County Gymnastics and the Gyminny Kids. Gary has a background in Engineering and was a previous Machinist. During that time, Gary perfected the bungee bouncer system that has brought joy to thousands of children. Gary is a member of the illustrious Seven Oaks community located in Rancho Bernardo. During his free time, he eats pizza, participates in water aerobics, works on home improvements and watches comedies. “Even though I have been coaching over thirty years, every day working with kids feels like my first day on the job. I just love this sport and all it has to offer.”
