From the Region 1 Xcel Regional Championships in Utah to the Western National Championships in Galveston, Texas, NCG athletes stepped onto some of the most competitive stages in the country and proved they belong.

Leadership Perspective

By Daniel Gundert, Owner of North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids, former gymnast, lifelong coach, national gymnastics judge, and father of five competitive gymnasts.

"I am incredibly proud of how our athletes showed up in these environments. These are not local meets. These are the best from multiple states and across the western half of the country, all competing at a very high level.

What stood out to me was the composure. The ability to stay focused, handle pressure, and perform when it counts.

The athlete's performance was special, but it also reflects the culture across our program. When athletes stay consistent, trust their training, and focus on doing their job at the highest level, results like this follow.

We are proud of every athlete who earned the opportunity to compete at this level, the coaches who developed them, and the parents who support us along the way. That alone speaks volumes about their commitment and work ethic."

What's Next for NCG

The postseason continues.

Level 10 National Championships take place May 7-10, and North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids will have both boys and girls athletes representing the program on the national stage in the coming weeks.

Why These Results Matter

These competitions test more than just skill.

They test:

  • Focus under pressure

  • Consistency across multiple events

  • Mental toughness

  • The ability to compete against top athletes from multiple states
