North County Gymnastics Boys Team Dominates State Championships with Event Titles, Team Wins, and a State Handstand Champion

A Strong Start at the 2026 Boys State Championships

The North County Gymnastics Boys Team kicked off the 2026 California State Championships with an outstanding performance this past weekend at Azarian Gymnastics on March 16, 2026.

From individual event titles to team championships, our athletes showed exactly what our program is built on: discipline, consistency, and doing their job at the highest level.

And this is only the beginning. Several additional levels in our Boys DP program will compete this coming weekend.

State Champion Spotlight: A 27-Second Handstand

One of the most impressive moments of the weekend came from:

Richik Mukhopadhyay

  • Level 3 "Mr. State Handstand Champion"

  • Held a handstand for 27 seconds!

That level of control, strength, and focus is rare at this age. It reflects both individual work ethic and the fundamentals we emphasize in our program.

What This Means for Our Program

The State Meet represents more than medals.

It reflects:

  • Consistent training systems across all levels

  • Coaches who develop well-rounded athletes

  • Athletes learning discipline, focus, and resilience

We always remind our athletes:

Ignore the scoreboard. Do your job at the highest level, and the wins will follow.

This weekend was a clear example of that philosophy in action.

More to Come

We are not done yet.

The remaining levels of our Boys DP program will compete this coming weekend at the State Championships, and we are excited to see them continue building on this momentum.
