North County Gymnastics Boys Deliver Big Results at Region 1 Championships

North County Gymnastics Boys Regional Recap, March 26 to March 29, 2026

North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids delivered a big weekend at the 2026 Regional Championships, with athletes competing against top boys gymnasts from California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Hawaii.

North County Gymnastics boys earned 11 individual regional titles (gold medals) at the 2026 Regional Championships, with first-place finishes across multiple levels and events

From Level 4 through Level 10, NCG athletes posted major all-around finishes, event titles, team success, and multiple qualifications to the next stage of the championship season. It was a strong showing for our boys program and a reminder that North County Gymnastics continues to develop athletes who can compete with the best in the western United States.

For families inside our program, this weekend reflected what we already know. Consistent coaching, strong fundamentals, disciplined training, and a team culture that produces results.

For families outside the program, this meet was another example of what sets North County Gymnastics apart. Our boys' team is not only producing high scores but also helping young athletes build confidence, work ethic, focus, and resilience that carry far beyond the competition floor.

Big Team Results at Regionals

One of the top team highlights came from our Level 6 NCG team, which placed 2nd overall with a team score of 162.15.

That team included:

• Graham Lanning

• Hayden Cobb

• Patrick Purim

• Rocket Gundert

That same level also saw Rocket Gundert represent the Level 6 Southern California State Team (All-star team), which took 1st place with a team score of 169.85.

At Level 9, Branden Kendro helped the state team earn 2nd place with a score of 210.65.

These results matter because regional championships bring together top athletes from multiple Western states. Podium finishes at this level are difficult to achieve.

More Than Scores, This Is What Program Strength Looks Like

At North County Gymnastics, we care about results because results reflect process.

But the bigger story is what goes into those results.

These boys are learning how to prepare, compete under pressure, handle setbacks, support teammates, and keep showing up. That is one of the biggest values of competitive gymnastics. It teaches discipline, emotional control, confidence, and grit.

Those life skills matter just as much as medals.

This is also what makes the North County Gymnastics boys program special. Our athletes are pushed to improve, but they are also part of a team culture that values encouragement, accountability, and pride in the work.

When older athletes lead the way, when teammates cheer each other on, and when boys learn to compete with both intensity and character, that is when significant development happens.

Why Families Choose North County Gymnastics

Families looking for boys' gymnastics in San Diego want more than a gym. They want experienced coaching, a strong culture, and a clear path for growth.

North County Gymnastics offers exactly that.

Our program gives boys the chance to build a foundation in strength, coordination, flexibility, body control, confidence, and discipline. For families seeking recreational classes, we offer a fun, challenging environment where boys can learn skills and build confidence. For families pursuing higher-level goals, our competitive team offers a proven pathway, strong coaching, and real results, thanks to our career coaches and supportive management team.

From beginner boys' classes to regional and national-level competition, North County Gymnastics is helping athletes grow at every stage.

A Proud Weekend for NCG

We are proud of every athlete who competed, every coach who prepared them, and every family who supported them along the way.

Regional championships are not easy. The competition is deep, the pressure is high, and the margin is small.

Our boys stepped up.

And now, several of them are headed to Galveston and Oklahoma to keep the season going.

That is a big accomplishment, and we cannot wait to see what comes next.
