Three Months of Holiday Fun at Gyminny Kids: Costume Madness, Holiday Camps, and Winter Wonderland
By Daniel Gundert, Owner of North County Gymnastics & The Gyminny Kids, gymnastics coach, national gymnastics judge, and father of five competitive gymnasts.
FEATURED SNIPPET
Gyminny Kids families can look forward to three months of themed fun from October 2026 through early January 2027. Highlights include Costume Madness from October 24 to 31, holiday camps on select school breaks, Winter Wonderland during classes December 7 to 19, and seasonal Kids Night Out and Kids Day Out events.
The holidays fill up quickly. Between school breaks, family plans, and the usual shuffle of work and activities, it helps to know what is coming and have something fun on the calendar for your child. At Gyminny Kids, we have been planning a full season of costumes, camp days, winter magic, and high-energy gym fun.
We like to say we have a PhD in theming. October gets the costume parade and spooky fun houses. November and December bring active holiday camps. Then the gym turns into a Winter Wonderland, complete with twinkling lights, disco Santa, ice skating on paper plates, and snow. Kids have a lot to look forward to, and parents have a lot to plan around.
Staying enrolled through the new year keeps your child connected to their regular weekly class and their class spot while these special themes roll through. If your family misses an eligible class, a makeup token gives you another way to fit gymnastics into a busy season. You can read how Gyminny Kids makeups work here:
OCTOBER 24 TO 31: COSTUME MADNESS AT GYMINNY KIDS
Costume Madness runs October 24 through October 31, 2026, and morning classes will take place on Halloween, Saturday, October 31. Your child can come to class dressed as a favorite superhero, princess, animal, storybook character, or any wonderfully imaginative creation.
The fun begins with a costume parade at the start of class. Each participant will receive a goodie bag, and the gym will feature a Fun House for younger children and a Spooky House for older kids. It is a chance to move, laugh, show off a costume, and experience a familiar class in a whole new way.
A few helpful details for families:
• Please arrive five minutes early so your child is ready for the costume parade.
• Guardians may stay for photos immediately after the parade at the beginning of class.
• Morning classes are on as usual on Halloween, October 31.
COSTUME FUN CONTINUES AT KIDS NIGHT OUT AND KIDS DAY OUT
From October 16 through October 31, children ages 3 and older can get another dose of costume fun at seasonal Kids Night Out and Kids Day Out events at participating locations. Activities include a costume parade, spooky fun houses, goodie bags, pizza, and costume-themed games.
Kids Night Out and Kids Day Out are a fun way for children to move and play while parents get time to take care of their own plans. At all Gyminny Kids locations, Kids Night Out is $35 per child. Check the Kids Night Out and Kids Day Out page and your location's event calendar for the current schedule and registration details.

NOVEMBER THROUGH EARLY JANUARY: HOLIDAY CAMPS FOR SCHOOL BREAKS
When school is out, holiday camps give kids a place to stay active, play with friends, get off devices, and try activities that do not always fit into a regular class. Camp days include gymnastics and the chance to enjoy Gyminny Kids favorites like bungees. These school break dates are popular; we often max out, so register early.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends planning for school holidays and arranging supervised activities when parents are working. A little planning can make school breaks easier for the whole family.
2026 HOLIDAY CAMP DATES

DECEMBER 7 TO 19: WINTER WONDERLAND DURING REGULAR CLASSES
From December 7 through December 19, 2026, regular classes get a winter makeover. The gym becomes a Winter Wonderland with a festive warm-up, disco dubstep Santa, an ice skating experience, soft twinkling lights, a disco ball, and a snow machine that covers the gym floor in glistening snow.
No separate registration is needed for Winter Wonderland. Just bring your child to their regular class and let us take care of the holiday magic. It is one more reason staying enrolled through December makes the season feel special without adding another event to your family calendar.
WHY KEEP YOUR CHILD ENROLLED THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS?
The holiday season can disrupt routines, but families do not have to choose between taking a break and keeping a place in the activities their children enjoy. Staying enrolled means your child can continue attending their regular class, keep their place, and be part of the October, November, and December themes.
And when a class is missed, our makeup tokens add flexibility. We know family schedules change. Illness, travel, school events, and holiday plans happen. Our makeup policy helps families work around those changes while keeping a regular class routine.
If your child is ready to join a class, explore Gyminny Kids gymnastics classes and find a location and program that fit your family.
THREE MONTHS, A LOT TO LOOK FORWARD TO!
Costumes and spooky surprises in October. Bungees and camp adventures through school breaks. Then snow, lights, and disco Santa in December. We have packed the season with chances for children to move, play, celebrate, and make memories at the gym.
We would love to have your family with us for it all. Stay enrolled through the new year so your child can keep their class spot and join the fun as the themes change from Costume Madness to Winter Wonderland.
